Banquet

Today was our end of the year banquet for my kiddos. It's really the one time of the year that I get to see them all dressed up and not in their grubby clothes. It's been a crazy whirlwind of a year, but we pulled it off! So proud of them!

Chef Beezy

Every morning I wake up and make some breakfast for J and I. We've been eating breakfast burritos almost every day for the past few months. Probably not the healthiest thing to eat but they taste so good!

The other day I tried something new and put some mac and cheese in the burrito to go with the hash browns, egg whites, and guacamole. I loved it but J on the other hand, not so much.

I'm so grateful and thankful that I get to wake up next to this beauty every morning. Even though she can be a pain and take up all the bed space, I love her nonetheless.

Senior Pics!

I had the honor of taking senior pics for one of J's old dance kids this past weekend. I'm currently going through all the photos and trying to narrow down the pictures down to two dozen or so.

This one was a pretty easy shoot because Victoria is just naturally beautiful and it wasn't hard to get a good shot of her. It also helped that I had J around and she was an amazing assistant.

Grads

Headed back down to cbad with my sister to hit up a grad party for one of our LD girls. Still can't believe how fast time has flown. I swear it was just yesterday she was this cute little nugget and now she's off to college!

Anuhea Concert

I was first introduced to Anuhea's music about 3 years ago when I first listened to her Estelle - "Come Over" cover and I've loved her ever since. She has such an AMAZING voice. 

I finally got a chance to see her live and I love her even more now. Experiencing her music in person was ten times better than listening through some other medium. She played for about an hour and fifteen minutes and even rapped and busted out a freestyle. It was so sick! I'd definitely check her out if you haven't already. Looking forward to watching her live again sometime soon.

RIP #19

One of my childhood idols passed away this past Monday. Four years after being first diagnosed with cancer, Tony Gwynn finally succumbed to his illness. I'm still shocked by the news and it really hasn't hit me that he's no longer here. He was so young at 54 years old and he'll be badly missed by not only San Diegans but everyone in the baseball community. Rest in peace, Tony.

Bang part 2!

We had some company over tonight and decided to play Bang! again. It's a lot more fun to play when you have a large number of people playing, preferably 5 or more. As usual, things escalated quickly and we only played two games because people got frustrated but they were a fun two games nonetheless!

Vape Summit: Las Vegas

I headed out to LV last weekend to help out one of my closest buddies, Jon, and support him at the Vape Summit. Over the past half year or so Jon, his brother, JoRyan, and their good friend, Ken, have been working tirelessly to come out with their own uniquely designed vape mod, The Illuminatus. Their mod was just recently released and boy did it hit the ground running. It sold out within the first few days and those who were lucky enough to snatch one up were ecstatic and those who weren't fast enough were left begging for more to be produced.

I'm so proud to have close friends who are out their grinding to make it as a small business in such a politically corrupt world. These guys are my brothers and I can only hope for us to continue to grow together and support each other in whatever endeavors we explore.

Cheers to my bros. I know this is just the beginning.

Flag football

I finally got a day off today, but E had to work. So I slept in and got to do some stuff around the house. I went to lunch with an old friend, which was much needed and then visited E at work! Yay! Best GF award! Lol :)

After I went to watch E and his buddy, Taylor play flag football!

Recital is finally over! So happy and relieved. Had a great time, but really glad that it is over. I was running around moving props or running the whole show... So I didn't get much time for pictures.

Dress rehearsal

Had a loooong tiring day of dress rehearsal today. Lots of confusion, wrong music, crying kids and upset parents... But the highlight was finally getting to see all my dads and their daughters onstage! Can't wait for tomorrow! It's going to all come together!

Nixon

I've been eyeing this beauty for a while and J was kind enough to buy for my birthday! I love Nixon and hope to keep growing my collection of their watches. I've slowly grown away from getting rubber/fun looking watches to more classy/fancy ones. It's starting to make me feel old.

Sunday Funday

J and I both had the day off so we did a little shopping and took some pictures. We headed back to The Lab in Costa Mesa to check out if the new Without Walls collection. After that, we spent the rest of the day hanging out and lounging at home! Such a nice and relaxing day for a change.

Blessed

I had a great birthday yesterday! I rang in my birthday with family, I got to meet my cousin, Erich for the first time!

Even though I had to go to work on my birthday, my kids were so sweet to me! I got lots of hugs, balloons, and presents. And then they threw me into the foam pit before we all went home! 

When I got home, E had left me my presents on my bed. I got the sweetest card and two lovely dresses to pick from. And then he went and surprised me with a picnic on the beach :) 

And then we spent the rest of the night just relaxing and even got some Korean BBQ! I'd say it was the best birthday yet!

SD Chillin'

Yesterday was quite an eventful day for me. Blaise came down and we hung out the whole day up until I had to leave for the Yelp event. We started off hitting up one of my favorite spots in SD, the Salk Institute. I love the architecture there and it definitely makes for some great looking photos.

After an hour or so at Salk, we ventured off to visit J's sister, Kaci, at work. We hung out with her for a while and just caught up over some lunch.

Next we headed to North Park to check out Gym Standard. If you're ever in SD, definitely check out this spot. Edwin, the owner, is a super nice and down-to-earth guy.
