OCSA Seniors

So tonight I went to see one of my very first Cal Elite students perform in her last high school dance show. This show was very cool, since it was the Orange County School of the Arts, Senior Student Choreography Show. My student, Amanda has really come into her own with her choreography the last couple of years and I'm so proud of all that she has accomplished. She'll be attending UCLA in the fall, so luckily she won't be too far away!

Seriously, the hardest part of being a teacher is letting them go. I could barely contain my tears during her routine, and it'll be very hard to imagine not seeing her every week this next year.

My Favorite Niece

I haven't seen my niece in about a month and I miss her sooooo much! I finally had a chance to FaceTime her and I swear she gets bigger every time I see her. I guess that's normal though for a one and a half year old.

Chef Beezy!

Ever since I moved up here and started living in Orange County, I have been doing a lot of cooking. That's partly because I want to learn how to cook more and because J doesn't have the patience to cook. 

Tonight I went to Trader Joe's and bought a ton of groceries. I saw some recipes for BBQ chicken paninis, tuna sandwiches in pita bread pockets, and a few other things. They didn't have all the ingredients, so I'll have to go back and buy them some other day, but I definitely plan on making those soon. Instead of making one of those, I opted for a basic pepperoni pizza bagel. It was super quick and easy but delicious nonetheless!

Here's a pic of Kaci, rocking her Free People gear, from our last Hawaii trip. We took some shots around Secret Beach and did a little adventuring to find some cool trees/rocks. We both loved the texture of the tree and branches in this picture. If only we could go back...

Belated Mother's Day Post :)

Forgot to post this yesterday! Ooops! Sorry mom! 

Woke up early to drive down to Carlsbad with my youngest two siblings. Had a slightly dramatic time figuring out where to eat, since my mom just couldn't seem to pick which restaurant that she wanted to go to. So we drove around for a bit, good thing I didn't drive! I got to nap in the back seat! haha :) We ended up at Broken Yolk and had a really yummy breakfast, it was totally worth the 25 minute wait… well kinda. I mean, at least we had wonderful company! 

Then we took pictures… KnockOut style, of course :)

New Toy!

I've been wanting this Intuos tablet for a while now and I finally pulled the trigger. I'm hoping this will make editing a little more fun/easy and help with my workflow. I'll let you know how I like it!

40 years

Tonight I went to Kababayan's 40th year anniversary gala with a group if my friends from college. It was seriously such a great time to catch up and get to see everyone!
