J and I headed down to San Diego to hang out for my friend's birthday on Saturday. It was definitely a fun and entertaining night full of laughs, laughs, and MORE laughs.
We started out at the Hard Rock Hotel where we hung out and waited to surprise Laurence, the birthday celebrant. He's a huge Lakers fan so his girlfriend got him an awesome Lakers cake. After taking a few round of shots, we headed out to go on our Social Cycle!
Everyone, except one person, in our group had never gone the Social Cycle and we didn't have really have an idea of what we were getting ourselves into. In short, the Social Cycle looks like a moving bar/wagon with about a dozen seats and pedals that surround the wagon. You use the wagon to travel around throughout Downtown San Diego, mainly to all the local bars. In order to make the vehicle move, at least six of the riders have to pedal. Of course, the guys being the gentlemen we are, we all volunteered to pedal first and BOYYYY, was it a workout! Before we even reached the first bar, all of our quads were burning.
We ended up stopping at four different bars and taking a ton of different shots/mixed drinks, but we eventually made our way back to the hotel.
After some late night eats, and stopping by Gang Kitchen to check out our other friend, Mikey, dj and spin some music, we decided to call it a night and head home!
All in all, it was a great night with even greater company!
