Spotlight Nationals

My So for the past week, I was sweating it out in Summerland, NV. Oh boy was it hotttt! My kiddos had their dance nationals and oh boy did we rock the house! It's only been two seasons for me as director and the growth that I've seen in these kids... Is just incredible! I'm so proud of all the hard work they've out in and it's been so worth all the blood, sweat, and tears I've shed!

Father's Day!

UI rarely get to spend time with my Papa, because he's even more of a workaholic than I am! But then again, that's the life of a physician... But I really love my Dad. He's super awesome and has always been very supportive of everything I've ever pursued. And yesterday, even though he was technically on-call, he was able to go in early and get everything done and then spend time with us! We went to the store and got a bunch of groceries to make some dinner for all of us! And of course, E took some nice photos of us too! :)

Dazing Off

Yesterday was my first day off in a couple of weeks, since work has been so busy. E let me sleep in a bit and then made me his signature breakfast burrito :) We got some Starbucks (because I just LOVE my coffee) and headed out to Irvine. My baby sister, Lani asked E to take some pictures for her senior thesis that's coming up next weekend, so we headed out early to scope out some spots. Please excuse my grumpy face, as I wasn't quite ready for the paparazzi ;)

Today is another nice lazy day for us. Happy Memorial Day to our fallen soldiers, I salute to you.

Apple Watch

Yup! I'm a spoiled girl! E got me the apple watch last week and I've been having a blast with it! I seriously look forward to get up and putting it on! :) 

My absolute favorite app, is the music app! It's so amazing that I can change the music playing from my wrist! I mean, for a dance teacher... This is everything! I love it, and I'm a real hit with the younger kids too! 

I think my second favorite app is the activity app, which tracks the active calories you've burned, how long you've exercised and how much you stand. It gives you little reminders for when you've been sitting for too long, which can get annoying when I just want to relax... But I know it's for my own good. It gives you little trophy rewards for when you've hit certain achievements too! 

Alright, I'm off to play some more!

March Madness

This month has been crazy so far! We've been total fails at keeping up with our blog, and I think I'm taking it over anyways. E is off doing his thang anyways :) 

We started off March at the Entity + Choreo cookies workshops! Kaci and I haven't been dancing much, so we got our butts kicked! But it was fun to bring along some of my kids and see how they faired too! 

I got to meet up with all of my favorite Kaba modern alumni at KM23 auditions! They took in a ton of newbies this year and I cannot wait to see what they do with their team this year! 

I've gotten to drive down and see E play in a few of his flag football games! They've won some and lost some, but they're pretty good sports about it! ;) 

Did a few photoshoots with E, but it's still hard to find time to get out. We're still working on our schedules. 

We got super spirited for St. Paddy's Day! My kids love having a day where they can be super crazy! 

I got to play with Puppy Piper, who had stolen my heart! She is seriously the cutest and sweetest pup! 

Mom and I went to USA nationals to support the LD girls and I even ran into some old friends! The dance community is so small, you just never know who you'll see! 

And competitions have been in full swing this season! We've got some crazy fun numbers, and they kids really do keep me on my toes! 

Cheers to March and the madness you've brought to my life so far! And now here's to the rest of the month and what's in store for the rest of the year! Hopefully I'll be better about posting, but I truly just love to sleep sometimes instead :)

Big Bear

Sorry it's been a while since we've posted but both E and I have been crazy busy with work lately, I'm working 6 days a week and almost all weekends right now. So we finally found a weekend to get away with some friends and head up to Big Bear to do some snowboarding! We drove up Friday and got to spend most of Saturday on the slopes! I seriously love the snow, even though I swear my fingers almost froze off!

We'll obviously need to go back really soon :)

Hello 2015

Holy cow, it's hard to believe it's already been a year since we first started this blog. We've only missed a few days but I think we've made up for it with some days with multiple posts. It's been really fun keeping our everyday activities updated on here and I'm sure we'll continue to post from time to time (a post everyday is very time consuming for us, haha).

2014 was seriously a great year but I know J and I both have big plans for 2015, both individually and collectively. I'm sure many challenges await us but I couldn't be more excited.

Here's to 2015. May it be just as good to us, if not better, than the rest.
