Yosemite :: Day 3

So much exploring today! We each got an ALL DAY bike rental to cruise through as much of the park as we could. J and our friend, Ria, both had to get little kid bikes since they both couldn't reach the floor on the adult bikes. This made Mikey and I laugh at first but they looked pretty bada** and made us a tad bit jealous. Mikey made a cool contraption to mount his iPhone to his bike handle so he could take a time-lapse video. The videos turned out pretty cool!

All-in-all, this was probably the most fun activity we did the whole weekend. It was seriously so fun and relaxing to just cruise the the wilderness. There were a lot of areas that were secluded and tucked away from the crowds, so that was real nice to experience too. It reminded me of how much I love riding a bike!

Yosemite :: Day 2

Yosemite has been nothing short of AMAZING so far and I fully expect it to only get better. Today, we adventured off to Vernal Falls to checkout some waterfall action. The hike itself wasn't bad but it was a little more strenuous than I anticipated but it was all worth it when we finally reached the falls.

We made our way to the base of the waterfall and the scenery was gorgeous. We were the only ones hanging around the base and the 129837987 other hikers/tourists made their way to the top of the fall. It was nice to have the area essentially to ourselves and we took the time to really take in the beauty and tranquility. It was very very relaxing to just hang out there and be in the moment. If visiting Vernal Falls was all we did the whole weekend, I would have been content!

Yosemite Bound!

We headed off to Yosemite early this morning! Got another awesome couple to join us for a couple's retreat! haha ok, it's not really a couple's retreat (a couple of our other friend's bailed on us), so it just happened! 

The drive was SUPER long and a little to windy for my liking but the view here is breathtaking!

Very little reception - which means we'll have a mostly unplugged weekend! I'm kind of excited to just enjoy the sounds and sights of nature!

I just love my students, they're so much fun (when they're not being a pain in my butt)! They've all been putting in so much hard work this summer and I'm really excited to see how this next year goes!

Photoshoot :: Concept Luxury

I know, I know, we've both been lagging on this blog, but I promise, we'll catch up. Ever since I started working at Apple again, I've become good buddies with one of the guys I went to training with. Taylor was a real chill dude when I first met him and he's become someone I can talk to about almost anything. Sports, fashion, art, photography, technology, you name it. 

A few months back, I helped him shoot some pictures for his clothing line, Concept Luxury. They've been rolling out with some really dope stuff and all definitely stuff I would rep (I'm still loyal to The Hundreds though, haha). 

They've been revamping their website and I'm so stoked that a bunch of the pictures I took for them are on there. Here's a couple of screenshots of their website featuring some of my pics!

Date Night!

J and I went out with Lani and her boyfriend, Alec for some dinner and a little catch up since it's his first day back in SoCal! We headed over to BJ's near our condo and stuffed our faces with food.

When it came time for dessert we all ordered some pizookies and Alec and I decided to try out the new s'mores pizookie. It was ok and now that I think about it, I'd rather have ordered a white chocolate macadamia nut pizookie instead.

Awkward dancers

I swear, almost every time I open up my photos on my phone, I come across the most "beautiful" pictures of my dancers. They're seriously the strangest!

Good thing they're better dancers than they are models!

More Relaxing :)

E had work today, but Lani and I got to drive down to cbad and hang out with some friends! I love spending time with my baby sister, she is one of the most entertaining people I know - and I'm not just saying that because she's my sister. :)

SaturDaze

E and I both had today off! He made Lani and I breakfast and then we headed to the pool, of course! Swam some laps (my arms hurt now) and took some pics with the gopro!

When we got back home, we all showed and we're pretty tired. L had to go to work, E took a nap and I took to the web in search of entertainment. (p.s. there are way too many of ALS ice bucket challenge videos - it's the only thing I see on my newsfeed. But YAY for awareness!) 

Once L got home, we headed to Newport for some Bearflag and Starbucks, of course!

After we were nice and full, we went to Crystal Cove and went past the tunnel and off to the beach! It was fun to go exploring and take some cute pictures together!

Today was a pretty awesome day. I love spending time with these two the mostest, they always make me laugh! And laughter is the best medicine, and lord knows it been a rough couple of weeks.

Weddings!

Had the wonderful opportunity to assist at Tim & Krystal's wedding this past weekend. It was a ton of fun and I actually took the lead with taking pics of the groom and his groomsmen getting ready.

I had a ton of fun and can't wait to shoot again!

Daze off

Took today off since I worked the last 7 days in a row! E even let me sleep in a bit and then made Lani and I some breakfast! Got to do lots of relaxing and go in some pool time and then I headed off to our KM Legacy photoshoot, while E drove down to SD! Seriously an awesome and much needed day!
